What is welding?
The welding process is a method of joining two or more materials (usually metals or thermoplastics) by using high temperature, pressure, or a combination of the two to create a strong bond between them. Welding can be carried out by different techniques, each technique having its own advantages and areas of application.
Basic welding methods:

- Resistance Welding: uses electric current and pressure to join metal. Examples are spot welding and seam welding.
- Laser Welding: uses a laser beam to create highly concentrated heat that melts and joins metals.
