Vertical pumps of the PRB type with a capacity of 60 to 1 400 m3/h and pressure from 5 to 20 m c. are designed for transporting products in the processing of ores, minerals, sands and other hydro-mixtures.
Pumps of this type are single-stage, submersible with vertical shaft arrangement and rubberized working bodies, ensuring sufficiently long operating time.
The pumps can be placed in a bathtub or concrete sump. When placed in a bath, no foundation is required.
The pump designation gives the nominal values of performance and pressure.
Example of the conditional designation of a pump:
- 1 250 - throughput in m3/hour
- 12.5 - pressure in m cc
The advantage of the FDP pumps is that they do not have a gland seal and no flushing water supply is necessary. These pumps are indispensable when working with hydro-mixtures that have a lot of foam.
In their operation, it is desirable to maintain a minimum level of hydro-mixture in the bath or zumpf, which guarantees a constant mode of operation. The design of the pumps also allows operation with air suction, but in such a case the flow at the end point flows out in pushes, which may adversely affect the technological process.
The rubberised impeller is of the open type and is attached to the shaft by means of a thread (in most cases with a two-way right-hand trapezoidal thread, only in the pumps FDP 1250/12.5 and FDP 300/12.5 a left-hand thread is used).
The bearings are lubricated with a grease. When designing objects using submersible pumps, it is necessary to provide free space above the bath (zumpfa), but not less than the height of the pump.
Pumps can be supplied with or without a bath, which must be specified when ordering.
Depending on the specific conditions, the pumps can also be supplied complete with an electric motor with the required power and speed.
When ordering spare parts, it is necessary to give the exact designation of the pump, the name of the spare part and its corresponding catalogue number.
