HYDROCYCLONE

[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1455449288036{margin-top: 30px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]It is used for the separation of small granular particles of rocks or ore, mechanically mixed with water or heavy slurry.

It operates on the principle of centrifugal force as in a centrifuge. However, there is no rotating part to create the centrifugal force.

In the hydrocyclone, the mechanical mixture is pumped under a certain pressure into the cylindrical section. This action makes a high-speed circular motion and high centrifugal force. The heavier and larger particles are distributed and run on the periphery of the circular flow, i.e. close to the walls of the hydrocyclone, while the lighter and smaller particles, depending on their weight, are distributed toward the center of the hydrocyclone. The mechanical mixture in the center of the hydrocyclone already contains small particles. This waste water from the center of the hydrocyclone is discharged through a pipe.

The compressed material is collected in the conical part of the hydrocyclone, and by a hose from its bottom it is transferred for further processing. The inner walls of the hydrocyclone, which are in constant contact with the abrasive particles, have replaceable wear-resistant rubber coverings.

Having no moving parts, the hydrocyclone does not require any maintenance during operation, except for the replacement of the rubber covering, when necessary.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1455449288036{margin-top: 30px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]
