The piston of the hammer performs reciprocating motion. During the service stroke the piston hits the stem of the drill tool.

During the return stroke of the piston, the drill tool rotates at a certain angle. It is automatically set at each stroke.

The hammer is controlled by a lever with four positions:

  1. Normal operation;
  2. Penetration;
  3. Stop:
  4. Intensive blowing.

The water necessary for flushing and removal of the destroyed material is supplied from the opening through the central tube into the hammer and the drill tool. Then the water flows out of the flushing hole of the drilling head of the tool. The water pressure should be less than that of air.

Before the first use, the hammer should run idle for one hour. The air must be richly oiled. During the development, the air pressure should gradually increase.
